Train Like a Stunt Performer — Even If You’re Not in stunt Shape Yet

Cinematic fight training for performing artists.

You’ll build strength, coordination, and confidence by learning cinematic fight choreography — the same style used in live shows, films, and action performances — while getting in better shape as a byproduct of training.

This is Velocity Arts

Velocity Arts exists to train performing artists — actors, dancers, circus artists, and movers — who want professional skills, athletic conditioning, and performance presence.
This is not a general fitness program, a traditional martial arts school, or a standard acting class.

It’s a focused training environment built for people who care about how movement looks, feels, and reads on stage or on camera.

What Most People Don’t Understand About Stunt Work

Stunt work isn’t just about taking hits or doing dangerous tricks. It’s built on consistency, control, and repeatable movement — the same fundamentals that make performers reliable, safe, and employable across live shows, tours, and media work.

Professional stunt work doesn’t only exist on big film sets in LA. It shows up in live shows, touring productions, themed entertainment, and media projects — all of which rely on the same core training principles.

Stunt Program Benefits

Combat Movement & Control

Train balance, spacing, and controlled power so fight scenes stay clean, safe, and repeatable under pressure.

Athletic Conditioning for Performers

Build strength and stamina through choreography-based training that supports real performance demands.

Physical Storytelling Through Action

Use movement, timing, and reactions to communicate character, stakes, and emotion through action.

Confidence Comes From Competence

When your body is trained to move with control and intention, confidence follows naturally. This program builds that foundation through real work.

Start with a 6-Week Training Cohort

This training works best in a focused group of committed performers. Instead of open sign-ups, entry happens by invitation. Most participants begin with an audition workshop or a short conversation to make sure the work aligns with your goals, experience, and current readiness.

Kellen R.

“I wanted to add a specific type of clip to my action acting reel. I worked with Charles on a fight scene project and the clips I got from it were great! I really enjoyed his collaborative and fun process.”

Brian J.

“I’d been working in live theatre for years but didn’t have any camera material of my fight scenes. After working with Charles I now have multiple great cinematic demo scenes I can use for my reel!”

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of training does Velocity Arts offer?

Velocity Arts is not a traditional martial arts school. Training focuses on stunt-inspired fight choreography, performance conditioning, and controlled combat movement designed for performing artists. The work draws from multiple disciplines, but everything is taught in service of performance — not belts, competitions, or sport

Do I need any prior experience to join your classes?

No prior experience is required. Our classes are suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Our instructors provide personalized guidance to help you progress at your own pace.

What should I wear to my first class?

For your first session, wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle. Clothing should be form fitting, and not too baggy or oversized.

How do I sign up for a membership or schedule a class?

Because training is tailored to the group, and performance-focused, spots are limited. Most participants begin by attending an audition workshop or scheduling a brief conversation before invitations are extended to the 6-week cohort.
